Gunnar Flivik is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at Lund University in Sweden.
Gunnar has written over 40 articles and is actively engaged in the study of Revision Hip Arthroplasty.
Gunnar is project manager of Lund University’s Hip and Knee Joint Arthroplasty Research Group. The Group is studying different factors involved in the fixation and function of prosthesis components, how to optimize the biomechanical joint conditions during surgery, and evaluating new prosthesis designs and concepts including surgery assisted by computer navigation.
Gunnar’s special interests include osteoarthritis, knee and hip arthroplasty and gait analysis. He also sits on the editorial board of Orthopaedics Today Europe.
